Heathy? and Cheesecake?

I promise, this one is going to surprise you.
I have been drinking a lot of protein shakes lately and quite frankly they get boring. Vanilla… chocolate… same thing every other day.
So I scoured the internet trying to find some recipes, but most of them were filled with unhealthy ingredients. I mean… if I’m going to throw in unhealthy stuff, I might as well just eat some ice cream instead. So I came up with this super easy, super delicious, and actually healthy protein shake recipe.
I think you are going to love it.
Ingredients you need:
1 cup of light almond milk (I like Hiland or Silk Milk)
1 serving of Vanilla Protein mix
1 cup of strawberries (I like them frozen, but they can be fresh)
1 cup of ice (may only need a half cup of ice if your strawberries are frozen)
By the way, did you know that you can actually freeze your fresh fruit to save money? It is super easy! Learn how to freeze fruit.
How to make this Strawberry Protein Shake:
First you need a good blender.
I have a Vitamix and I love it. It is old and is still going on strong. It is quite the investment to get one, but it is one investment that won’t disappoint. It will be the last blender you ever had to buy. Amazon has several of them on sale right now for a great price.
Now if a Vitamix isn’t in your budget, then I recommend a Waring professional blender. They are going to get the job done. Now they are not as great as a Vitamix, but they are the next best for a much more reasonable cost. Amazon has several Waring blenders on sale right now.
Either way, I know you will be able to enjoy a delicious and smooth green smoothie with one of these blenders.
Blend together
Combine all the ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth. It may take two tries to get it perfectly smooth, but this is delicious and a nice change to a regular protein shake.
One of my favorite healthy protein shake recipes
This strawberry cheesecake protein shake recipe is by far one of my favorite healthy protein shake recipes because it literally tastes like strawberry cheesecake but without all the calories. It is sweet but packed with protein and healthy strawberries. It is the perfect meal when you are in a hurry – I personally love this in the mornings.
I have even made it and then stuck it in the freezer for a few minutes to make it extra thick and extra cold where I can almost eat it with a spoon.
